The most dangerous cities in the US are listed below, according to a new study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The survey was released on Tuesday.
The top five cities were: Houston, Texas; New York, New York; Detroit, Michigan; and Miami, Florida.
The study found that New York was by far the most deadly city in America, followed by Houston and New York.
The list of the most populous cities also includes: Chicago, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Seattle, Washington; Detroit and St. Louis, Missouri.
The top five deadliest cities are: Dallas, Texas, Detroit, Mich., New Orleans, La., St. Petersburg, Florida, San Bernardino, California.
In the US, about 2.4 million people are killed each year in traffic crashes, according the National Safety Council.
The report also found that the number of drivers killed in traffic accidents decreased by about 4% between 2006 and 2015.
According to the study, the number, number of fatalities, and number of injuries in traffic-related crashes declined by 15% from 2006 to 2015.
According to the US Census Bureau, the US population increased by 7% between 2007 and 2015, which resulted in an increase in deaths, injuries, and traffic deaths.
