Get the free Uber app and get directions If you have an Uber app, you can see how much the cheapest Uber taxi fare would be in your location.
To do this, tap the “show details” button on the bottom left of the app and choose “show app details”.

Taxi driver fees and charges How much do you have to pay to get a ride in Sydney?
Taxi driver licence fees are set by the NSW Government.
If your licence is revoked you’ll be liable for paying the full cost of your licence fees.
However, if you are issued a non-payment penalty notice, you’re not liable for the costs of the driver’s licence.
What happens if I get a taxi ticket in Sydney but the driver refuses to pick me up?
If you receive a taxi driver’s notice, it is important to remember that you will be liable to pay a penalty fee if you refuse to pick up the driver.
You need to contact the driver and request the fee to be waived.
You should be able get the fee waived if you contact the NSW Taxi Commission by completing an online application form.
Taxi drivers are licensed under the Taxi Services Act 2003.
They can charge a driver $3.00 to pick you up.
If the fee is waived, the driver can also charge $1.00 per kilometre.
You could be required to pay the driver $4 to pick the person up.
This will not be covered by your taxi licence fee, so you’ll need to pay that amount.
